Buyers of a stalled Bengaluru housing project moved the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission after waiting more than two decades for possession. The commission ordered the builder to refund every rupee paid, with interest, along with compensation for the harassment caused.
Jairam Ramesh has criticised the Modi government for resuming the processing of retrospective environmental clearances. He pointed out the Supreme Court had initially rejected such clearances in May 2025. However, a subsequent ruling in November 2025 allowed the government to continue processing pending proposals.
