Press bodies condemn detention of journalists covering Delhi protests; demand apology, inquiry
Four journalists' organisations, including the Press Club of India and Indian Women's Press Corps, condemned the detention and alleged harassment of reporters covering protests demanding CEC Gyanesh Kumar's resignation. They alleged police seized journalists' phones and equipment despite press credentials, and demanded their release, return of belongings, a public apology and an inquiry.
