Jonathon Brooks will have surgery for a core muscle injury and is expected to miss at least six weeks. This injury occurred after he was regaining form for the Carolina Panthers following previous ACL injuries. Chuba Hubbard is anticipated to take on a larger role in the backfield during Brooks' absence. The Panthers are actively seeking additional running back support, bringing in Austin Ekeler for a workout.
