Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, September 21, 2026 -- JETOUR has added a new plug-in hybrid option to its Malaysian lineup with the launch of the T2 i-DM on Sept 19, as the automaker broadens its “Travel+” positioning across its product range and broader user ecosystem.
The launch, together with the brand’s growing owner community and long-term partnerships in Malaysia, reflects JETOUR’s approach to strengthening its presence in the Asia-Pacific market by combining vehicle capabilities with travel experiences and ongoing user engagement.
“Malaysia is a key market in JETOUR’s global strategy. Since entering Malaysia, we have focused on the local market, guided by user needs and local culture as we bring our ‘Travel+’ philosophy to life,” said Ke Chuandeng, President of JETOUR International. “Through more meaningful initiatives, we hope to build stronger connections with local users and continue to develop products and services that meet diverse mobility needs and create better travel experiences for consumers.”

New energy products built around travel needs
For SUVs used for daily commuting, family trips and weekend exploration, vehicle technology needs to adapt to different driving conditions.
The T2 i-DM features an intelligent hybrid system with five operating modes: pure electric, series hybrid, dual-power enhancement, parallel hybrid and energy recovery. The system is designed to support different driving requirements, including low-speed driving, overtaking, uphill driving and highway cruising.
The SUV is equipped with an 18.4kWh lithium iron phosphate battery and supports up to 3.3kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) output, extending its use beyond driving to outdoor activities such as camping, lighting and cooking.
These features place travel as a common thread across the vehicle’s product development and functionality.
JETOUR is also broadening its product choices across existing models including the T1, T2 and Dashing, alongside upcoming new energy models. The company is using travel as a common positioning across different products while aligning its growing lineup with a range of user needs.

Building stronger links with users through travel
As its product lineup grows, maintaining engagement with users beyond the point of purchase is becoming another part of JETOUR’s strategy.
In Malaysia, the company has established owner clubs and organised a convoy of around 100 vehicles during the Sarong Music Run. During the event, JETOUR formally signed a three-year memorandum of understanding with Malaysia Marathon for cooperation from 2027 to 2029. The signing was witnessed by YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia.
The partnership provides a longer-term framework for travel-related and outdoor activities, while the owner clubs give local users opportunities to take part in convoys and other activities connected with JETOUR’s travel positioning.

Adapting “Travel+” to different markets
Travel habits and cultural backgrounds vary across Asia-Pacific markets, requiring a consistent brand direction while leaving room for local experiences.
Malaysia’s Sarong Music Run, which combines traditional clothing, music and sport, provides a distinctly local setting for JETOUR’s “Travel+” proposition.
The company’s partnerships with the Turtle Conservation Society Malaysia (TCS) and PULIHARA, which focus on turtle conservation and habitat protection, add an environmental element to its local activities. Representatives of the two organisations were named “JETOUR Travel Ambassadors” during the event, bringing conservation and public education into the brand’s engagement with users.
The initiatives also build on JETOUR’s conservation work involving cheetahs, ibex and Tibetan antelopes in other markets.
The Sarong Music Run also marked the launch of another visual expression of JETOUR’s travel theme. On the evening of the event, the company staged a drone light show over the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, featuring the “TRAVEL WITH JETOUR” theme. The display celebrated the conclusion of the Sarong Music Run while building anticipation for the 2026 JETOUR Travel Season and World Tourism Day.

The drone show also echoed the Visit Malaysia 2026 tourism campaign, incorporating elements of Malaysia’s local travel culture and highlighting the “Travel+” concept for audiences in Malaysia and overseas.
JETOUR has entered more than 100 markets globally and says it has connected with more than 2.51 million travelers. Its international footprint provides a basis for sharing experiences and resources across markets, while local partnerships determine how its travel positioning is translated for individual audiences.
With the 2026 JETOUR Travel Season and World Tourism Day approaching, Malaysia is providing a local example of the company’s broader Asia-Pacific approach: broadening mobility choices through new energy products, building continued engagement through a travel ecosystem, and developing local relevance through culture and conservation.
